Seasonal and continuous commissioning

The BSRIA guide BG 44/2013 on seasonal commissioning states:

“There is growing recognition that not all aspects of the commissioning of a building and its engineering services systems can be carried out during the normal contract period. Some aspects, such as full load performance, can only be fully assessed when the external conditions represent the full load, or maximum design parameters.”

Four seasons in one day…

From sweltering heat to freezing cold and everything in between, your engineering services systems need to operate as well in December as they do in August. Seasonal commissioning involves checking heating systems in winter and mechanical cooling systems in summer against commissioning data and carrying out any necessary remedial action identified as a result.

Team Rock’s seasonal commissioning service allows us to highlight any design and operational issues in your engineering services system.  It includes checks on:

• Installed equipment – does it match the design criteria?
• HVAC equipment – is it installed safely and efficiently?
• Automatic controls – are they working correctly and as designed?

In addition, equipment is tested and adjusted, balanced and fine-tuned to achieve optimum performance, flow rates and temperature.  At the end of the testing, our engineers produce a fully documented report.
