Descaling and acid cleaning

Descaling and acid cleaning of boilers and heat exchangers is an important part of your water treatment strategy.

If steam boilers and heating and cooling systems are operated with hard water, it can result in a loss of energy and heat transfer. When this happens, it can lead to a build-up of limescale and other mineral deposits that may, in turn, affect system efficiency.

In the case of a steam boiler, a scale build-up can result in overheating and a risk of failure.  In the worst scenario, it may even lead to a dangerous explosion.
